In spite of January bitter frost it is warm in the Embassy of God
January 21, 2010, the service of the central church took place despite a significant temperature drop.
The most ‘frost-resistant’ and courageous members of the Embassy of God came in a cold January evening to glorify God, to worship Him and give glory for all His goodness. However, the warmth of the hearts and praising God warmed not only the souls, but also bodies. So, there were few of those, who felt the winter severity.
More warmth was brought by the church’s senior Pastor Sunday Adelaja, who as usually sobered up, but also encouraged everyone, who came to the service.
The idea was that believers often like to quote the Scripture from Psalm 23: The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. But there are very few who stop to think about on what condition the Lord becomes the Shepherd for His sheep.
As it turns out, the Lord (another meaning is the master) can take responsibility over certain spheres of human life, only if He is firmly convinced that this sphere wholly belongs to Him. In other words, the Lord will help us in the things (issues, areas), if we do not stick to them with all our heart and do not try to decide everything on our own. God is a loving father, but He is also a gentleman. He will never come if He is not welcome or is neglected.
Our firm conviction should be the following one: Lord, all I have today is Yours! Without You there can be nothing. I’m just a user and manager of the good things, which You gave me. However, this should not be words alone. God knows our hearts. He sees our hearts and compares with our actions. You cannot cheat God, said pastor Sunday. Is there anything in your life - family, husband, children, work, or ministry - that is not yet in possession of the Master? Is there anything else, anything that has stuck to your heart?
We have to be faster in giving God all spheres of our lives. And He will not fail us. He will show His love, mercy, faithfulness, strength, and grace.
May God give each of us understanding of His wisdom and grace to fulfill this Word!
